Dort stimmt einfach alles

Highly recommended! You can eat delicious homemade dishes here for very little money or choose from the large selection of freshly pressed juices. Coffee and cake are offered too.

The service is super friendly, what you order arrives at your table quickly and the atmosphere in the deli is simply great! A real asset for Steele!

Eine absolute Empfehlung! Hier kann man sehr günstig köstliche, hausgemachte Gerichte essen oder aus der großen Auswahl frisch gepresster Säfte wählen. Auch Kaffee und Kuchen werden angeboten.

Der Service ist superfreundlich, das Bestellte kommt schnell an den Platz und die Atmosphäre in dem Deli ist insgesamt einfach toll! Eine echte Bereicherung für Steele!

This has been my absolute favourite place for many years, and for good reason. Everything is just right here.

Lunch is fresh every time, made with a lot of love and incredibly tasty. And the cake… simply a dream! You can taste that they still bake their own and cook with heart here.

But what makes this place so special for me are the people. It’s a lovingly run family business where you feel welcome from the very first moment. You’re always warmly received, you get to know each other over time and feel almost at home.

Whether for a relaxed meal on site or to take away, I always love coming back. On top of that, unbeatable value for money.. it hardly gets better.

I can truly recommend this wonderful place to everyone from the bottom of my heart. 🤌🏻🫶🏻

Seit vielen Jahren ist das mein absoluter Lieblingsladen und das aus gutem Grund. Hier stimmt einfach alles.

Das Mittagessen ist jedes Mal frisch, mit viel Liebe zubereitet und unglaublich lecker. Und der Kuchen… einfach ein Traum! Man schmeckt, dass hier noch selbst gebacken und mit Herz gekocht wird.

Was diesen Laden aber für mich so besonders macht, sind die Menschen. Es ist ein liebevoll geführter Familienbetrieb, in dem man sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen fühlt. Man wird immer herzlich empfangen, kennt sich mit der Zeit und fühlt sich fast wie zu Hause.

Ob zum gemütlichen Essen vor Ort oder zum Mitnehmen, ich komme immer wieder gerne hierher. Dazu noch ein unschlagbares Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.. besser geht es kaum.

Ich kann diesen wundervollen Laden wirklich jedem von Herzen empfehlen. 🤌🏻🫶🏻

Great location for barista treats.
Unfortunately the Dirty Chai wasn’t to my taste, the other drinks may be the better choice.
The service and advice were very pleasant.

I can highly recommend the vegetable wrap: it isn’t just salad and is definitely the tastiest of its kind I’ve had so far.

They also offer various cakes, tarts, stuffed dates and dishes.

I find the seating in the shop a bit difficult, because there generally isn’t much space and some seats are close to the sales shelves.

The seats by the window or outside are good, if the weather is pleasant enough.

Der Dirty Chai hat leider nicht meinen Geschmack getroffen, da empfehlen sich vielleicht die anderen Getränke mehr.
Die Bedienung und Beratung waren sehr angenehm.

Sehr empfehlen kann ich das Gemüse-Wrap: Es besteht nicht nur aus Salat und ist definitiv das schmackvollste seiner Art, das ich bislang genießen durfte.

Es werden hier auch diverse Kuchen, Torten, gefüllte Datteln und auch Speisen angeboten.

Die Sitzfläche im Geschäft finde ich etwas schwierig, weil generell ist es nicht sehr viel Platz und manche Sitzflächen sind nah an Verkaufsregalen dran.

Gut sind die Plätze am Fenster oder draußen, sofern die Witterung angenehm genug ist.

Did a cooking class there with a group of 8. Besides the really extremely tasty food, the two of them were super nice and warm! The look into the kitchen and cooking together was great fun, and the time flew by. All the dishes were made from high-quality products. The value for money is absolutely right too.

Habe dort mit einer Gruppe von 8 Personen einen Kochkurs gemacht. Neben dem wirklich extrem leckeren Essen waren die beiden super nett und herzlich! Der Einblick in die Küche und das gemeinsame Kochen hat richtig viel Spaß gemacht, und die Zeit verging wie im Flug. Alle Gerichte wurden aus hochwertigen Produkten zubereitet. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt absolut.

The food is very well prepared for some uncommon flavours that can surprise. Tasteful dishes all in a very interesting atmosphere different from a typical diner. You can purchase some vegetables and fruits as well.

Authentic Moroccan home cooking at a good price. The photo shows both breakfast menus (each for 1 person), plus the Moroccan cookies and the pancakes, tea, coffee; everything for sharing is more than enough for 4 people. Outstanding, very good foul. Nice, family-style service.

Auf dem Foto sind beide Frühstücksmenüs (jeweils für 1 Person), zusätzlich die marokkanischen Plätzchen und die Pfannkuchen, Tee, Kaffee, alles zum Teilen ist mehr als genug für 4 Personen. On Saturday we picked up a Magic Bag (Too Good To Go) for the first time.. Super friendly.. the contents were fully explained..Top. And when we then ate at home..simply delicious..my wife isn’t much of a tomato soup fan..but she really likes this one with noodles..and that says something.. Our son enjoyed it too.
We’ll definitely drop by anyway as well.
Update. Were there again today to pick up a bag via TGTG..as always very well packed with a tasty selection..it’s simply great there.

Und als wir dann Zuhause gegessen haben..einfach nur lecker..meine Frau ist nicht so der Tomatensuppen Fan..aber bei dieser mit Nudeln schmeckt ihr richtig gut..und das heißt was.. Auch unserem Sohn hat es lecker geschmeckt.
Wir werden auf jeden Fall auch so vorbei kommen.
Update.Waren heute wieder da um über TgTg eine Tüte abzuholen..wie immer sehr gut gepackt mit leckerer Auswahl..es ist einfach nur Mega dort.

The food is very very tasty, everyone friendly and it’s a really great shop. I walked past it countless times and never had time. Today I took the time to eat there and I’m very enthusiastic. The couscous with vegetables is perfect. I’ll gladly drop by again soon.

We felt very welcome, the breakfast was (for a European-shaped palate) extraordinary, .. personally I especially liked the homemade grape jam and the scrambled eggs with spices and tomato. And it simply looked beautiful (see for yourself). Everything was great!

At the weekend we had a buffet for 25 people from the Morgenland. What a good choice, everyone was thrilled. The advice beforehand was very friendly and competent. There was something for everyone – vegan, vegetarian, with meat and poultry. Everything was lovingly prepared on great ceramics, a feast for the eyes and the palate. We’ll be back – many thanks!!

As a starter I chose a Moroccan noodle soup.
My main course was msemmen (Moroccan pancake) filled with cheese. For dessert I had cheesecake.
To drink I chose the homemade lemonade with saffron
and the Moroccan mint tea is, as always, a must. 😊

Breakfast from 9 am & a daily changing lunch menu from 12 noon, vegetarian/vegan or with meat – all dishes also to take away.

I used the takeaway service and took the lamb tajine with fruit with me.
Many thanks for the free bread.

Value for money is right, great quality, food super tasty. Drinks too.

The only catch is that Morgenland isn’t near me 😭 I’d be a regular.

Eine Mischung aus einem Spezialspätladen und Cafe/Bistro.
Sehr nette Begrüßung, die Atmosphäre ist familiär, ich habe mich hier von Anfang an sehr wohl gefühlt. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Sitzgelegenheiten innen und außen, Top-Service, leise Musik im Hintergrund.

Als Vorspeise wählte ich eine marokkanische Nudelsuppe.
Mein Hauptgang war Msemmen (marok. Pfannkuchen) mit Käse gefüllt. Als Nachspeise nahm ich Käsekuchen.
Als Getränk wählte ich die hausgemachte Limonade mit Safran
und der marokkanische Minztee ist wie immer ein Muss. 😊

Frühstück ab 9 Uhr & täglich wechselndes Mittagsmenü ab 12 Uhr von vegetarisch/vegan oder mit Fleisch – alle Gerichte auch zum Mitnehmen.

Ich habe den Mitnahmeservice in Anspruch genommen und die Lamm-Tajine mit Früchten mitgenommen.
Vielen Dank für das Gratis-Brot.

Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt, super Qualität, Essen mega lecker. Getränke auch.

Excellent cuisine, lovely ambience, very friendly people. Daily changing lunch offers, party service and the option to eat on site. Includes a small grocery area – nicely integrated – with fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods and long-life products. Good value for money. Small, but very fine! Recommended in every respect.

Exzellente Küche, schönes Ambiente, sehr freundliche Menschen. Täglich wechselnde Mittagsangebote, Partyservice und die Möglichkeit, vor Ort zu essen. Beinhaltet einen kleinen Lebensmittelbereich – schön integriert – mit frischem Obst und Gemüse, Backwaren und haltbaren Produkten. Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Klein, aber sehr fein! My third day in a row. This place has won me over. The combination of a small grocery shop and a café/bistro, where fresh Arabic and international specialities are prepared. The family business is superbly run and you feel very comfortable here. Recommended

A really great shop. You get great pastes, olives, peppers, breads and so on there. Everything homemade and super tasty. There’s also a party service. Highly recommended! Very nice owners. You can also pay by debit card there.

Ein ganz toller Laden. Man bekommt dort tolle Pasten, Oliven, Peperoni, Brote und und und. Alles hausgemacht und super lecker. Auch ein Partyservice ist vorhanden. Sehr empfehlenswert! Sehr nette Inhaber. Man kann dort auch mit EC-Karte bezahlen.

Long since no longer an insider tip, the nice team at the Morgenland supplies Steele and the surrounding area with delicacies from the Orient, as well as fresh fruit/vegetables, home-baked Moroccan bread and now also a daily lunch. Worth highlighting: vegans/vegetarians find options here too, and you can bring your own containers. The catering offer for private celebrations is also highly recommended!

Schon lange kein Geheimtipp mehr versorgt das nette Team vom Morgenland Steele und Umgebung mit Köstlichkeiten aus dem Orient, sowie frischem Obst/Gemüse, selbstgebackenem marokkanischem Brot und mittlerweile auch einem täglichen Mittagstisch. Hervorzuheben ist, dass auch Veganer/Vegetarier hier Angebote finden und man eigene Verpackungen mitbringen kann. Das Catering-Angebot für private Feiern ist auch sehr zu empfehlen!

Good oriental shop in the centre of Essen-Steele. All the vegetables and fruit are fresh, nice service in the shop, where you find everything you need for cooking oriental cuisine. A visit is worth it.

A bit hidden in Steele city centre but still central and easy to reach while shopping.
My recommendation: olives, peppers and various cheese spreads, with flatbread, e.g. also with turmeric or walnut, at fair prices.

Orientalische Spezialitäten und immer freundliche Bedienung.
Etwas versteckt in der Steeler City aber dennoch zentral und während der Einkäufe gut zu erreichen.
Meine Empfehlung sind Oliven, Peperoni und verschiedene Käsecremes, dazu Fladenbrot z. B. auch mit Curcuma oder Walnuss zu fairen Preisen.
